Mecheda Sports Unit is a purely apolitical pioneering Sports & Socio-Cultural Organisation at Mecheda, a busy prosperous semi-town, adjacent to Kolaghat Thermal Power Station and at the gate-way of Haldia Port & Digha a sea-side tourist spot.
The Organisation was initially founded by some local educated enthusiasts in 15th August, 1984 by way of a football club; but it soon spread its several socio-cultural activities in the neighbouring areas.
Principle: Love, Charity, Sacrifice, Regard for Truth & Honesty.
